This place exists. It’s really nice.
you’re right. Villa de Leyva is quite nice. Also a good base to explore Boyaca, a beautiful region in Colombia. We wrote a post about our trip around this area: http://bit.ly/May3hW. Looking forward to your next post
I explored a bit of Boyaca last weekend (Raquira, Chiquinquira, Villa de Leyva) and it was absolutely beautiful! Some friends and I are going back the next long weekend, I will certainly read up on your trip!
If you are planning to go back to Boyaca, you should consider Iguaque National Park as a possible destination. It’s located close to Villa de Leyva
We might check it out on Saturday! Is Iguaque easy to access by bus or foot?
You should be able to arrange transport from Villa de Leyva but the nearest town is Arcabuco. Have a look at the following link from Colombia.travel for more information: http://www.colombia.travel/en/international-tourist/sightseeing-what-to-do/nature/natural-parks/natural-parks-of-the-andean-region/iguaque-natural-park
